2006 Aux setting

Hey again. So far I'm loving my 06 RT and just enjoying  the seat time I can get. 

 

Playing with the radio buttons I come across a setting for aux but can't find the aux outlet. 

 

Is there one that I'm missing or is the radio capable of an aux outlet that needs to be installed.

It should be in the right hand fairing pocket with the factory stereo unit, either loose or fastened to the plastic cover from below.  Looks like a small stereo headphone jack.  That's the Aux input.   That's where it was in my '06, anyway.

      If I remember correctly, there was an available sub-harness that could be purchased from BMW that plugged into the CD/Radio that gave you the Aux input jack. Maybe check on www.realoem.com to see if it is still listed/available. If not, I'm also pretty sure that the CD/Radio unit was also used in BMW cars (3 Series most likely in the same year range), so the same part might be available from a BMW car dealer.
