BMW Hypoid Axle Oil G3 has an Expiration Date?

It was time to replace the rear drive oil and I decided to use BMW G3 axle oil which is the current stuff specified .  Since I live in the middle of nowhere I bought some on line trough one of the dealers in Minneapolis.  I saw on the bottle a vendors manufacturer date P35/2020 and surprised to see an expiration date E35/2023 and a little sticker marked use by 9/1/23. So does that mean I would need to dump and replace with new stuff in about two months?   I am guessing not to worry.  I am curious if that the exp date is just a trick to get the parts guys to do FIFO on the fluid inventory.

That date is for sale date, not end of life once installed date. Use it in good conscience.
