Hmmm, who knew? (Hint, again: everybody)

I like the seemingly new info that it is releasing poison that is killing rivers and water sources.

Green.

because the oil just comes out of the ground with people dancing around peacefully :)

what will you cry about next as battery technology moves off of lithium, cobalt, and nickle, as it already is doing at a rapid pace?  Let alone brine extraction is falling by the wayside as more efficient methods are coming on line and combined with a much larger focus on recycling there will never be a shortage of lithium nor a modicum of the environmental damage caused by oil based products, both in the direct lives lost and the poisoning of water ways and the ground; you can see it first hand in the center of every lane of every road and in most parking lots...

Point is, lithium has always been in use for far more than just batteries but battery technology is rapidly moving on to more abundant and easier to handle materials.
