Heed Crash Bars

I'm going to be picking up my new 2023 R1250RT this week.  I feel that engine and bag guards are a must, particularly for a short SOB like me.  I really like the look of the Heed product and based upon what I have  been reading, they are pretty high quality, not to mention, the prices are pretty damned good when compared to other higher quality bars out there.

 

Couple of questions.  Do they have to be removed or loosened to do an oil change and/or valve adjustments?  How are they to install?  Will they work with the stock fog lamp mounts?

 

Next is a purely subjective question; what would you consider to be the best color for a Blue R1250RT?  The black or the silver?
