For those replacing the steering head bearing on the older RTs.

If you don't wish to source the bearing from BMW at their price.

BMW # 31 42 2 314 723 part # cross references to bearing # 3204-2RS.

Available from Amazon, Ebay, or you local bearing supply house.

Possibly your local auto parts also.

Just a little curious.  Looking at that alternative part number from a top quality bearing manufacturer has a similar price to an OEM part.   Not sure if that bearing needs for a Telelever suspension to be from a premium quality manufacturer, or if some off brand Chinese bearing will work just fine at 1/4 the price.  

For a standard fork, I had alway used a high replacement from a quality manufacturer and maybe even sourced one with more balls than the OEM part.  Seemed to be worth it as that bearing would never fail.
