Tony J
I'm new to BMW ownership. I just purchased a 2013 R1200RT with 30K miles on it. Excellent ride! I was in the garage getting to know the in's and out's and saw a small amount of oil at the bottom of the strut. It appears to be coming from the small hose attached it. I assume it is a vent for the shock. Is this small amount normal or is it time to have it replaced? Link to comment

If so then where is the leak coming from per this picture? Link to comment
Tony J
Yes, it does look like that strut. It appears that is was on the rubber boot, but that is obviously a wiring connection. I'll have to take a better look at it to see if is from above. Link to comment

Afternoon Tony Also, check your fork seals as those can seep then oil blows to the rear. Link to comment
