Some very valuable dollar bills out there

in 2014, the US Treasury printed 6.4M $1 bills...and then a couple of years later, mistakenly printed another set of bills with the exact same serial numbers.  All 12.8M bills were put into circulation before the error was discovered.  If you happen to have one of these bills, it might be worth considerably more than $1.  

 

You can check your serial numbers on https://www.thesilverpicker.com/zwproject., which was set up to track bills and facilitate sales to collectors.  So far 10,000+ bills that are part of this batch have been identified - but only 9 matching pairs have been put together.

Doubt I'll ever see enough singles to find even one of those serial numbers.

 

I have not spent cash since last July. I last drew five twenties from an ATM in September 2021 because I thought the three I had(from July 2019) were getting lonely. There are still seven in my wallet.

 

Plastic is nearly always quicker and easier than cash.
