Roadflyer
Hello fellow oilhead owners. I have been refurbishing a R1100rt that I bought about 6 months ago. I noticed that the original vin sticker near the steering stem is almost non existent and I'd like to get a reproduction made. I'm looking for the gvwr weight as well as the front and rear gawf and gawr. Does anyone know how I would determine the date of manufacture to include on the sticker? Link to comment

Morning Roadflyer Start by going to https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/PartsFiche.aspx then type in the last 7 digits of your VIN, this should give you the approximate build date. On your other info, not sure where you will find that other than calling BMW customer service & seeing if they will track it down for you. If you can't find it I have a 1997 1100RT frame here at my shop (not for sale) & the info on the tag shows__ GVWR 180 lbs/490KG GAWR front 440 lbs GAWR rear 730 lbs You might also find that your engine number doesn't match any part of your frame VIN number as they seldom do.
