I, too, was looking for one from the last three years of production. There is a site named Smartcycle (or some such) where I stumbled upon one not shown on CycleTrader and it was close to me in the Cincinnati area (Mt. Airy). Then I went to BMW Motorcycles of Greater Cincinnati (in downtown Middletown, which is certainly a “destination retail”location) and checked out their 1998 (drum rear brake, no ABS and no cruise) for which they wanted $5,000 firm. Well, call me spoiled by my (bought new) 2006 K1200R but I could not deal with the vibrations that Bey ‘Em Vey product planners must have required the engineers to build in. If I wanted another 2006 Harley Sportster or 2019 Road King Special, I would buy one. I do, however, Love the Stylin’…and they are becoming Collector Bikes.
