Rex R
Hi everyone, I'm sure this has been covered to death, but my search skills apparently are a little wanting. Where can we attach RAM mount bases on a 2016 R1200RT. Thank you ladies, gentlemen and all others Link to comment
Motor32
These work well. Steve https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MZZCVMP/?coliid=I2MT46OGHMHXSL&colid=KP7Z3P15LZS9&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Link to comment

Cap
That looks a lot like the Wunderlich "Multi Pod" adaptor. https://www.wunderlichamerica.com/BMW_K1600_R1200_R1250_RT_MultiPod_Adaptor I bought one, and you can put a RAM ball on it. It works great, but is not compatible with the Illium Works handlebar extenders. I use the handlebar extenders, so instead I put a RAM ball on my mirror mount. Link to comment
Rex R
Thanks guys. Those are good options. anyone know if there is a mount that matches the 4-hole pattern on the f-brake and clutch reservoirs? Link to comment
Geekmaster
Looks like Wunderlich has one, but it's their own proprietary phone mount: https://www.wunderlichamerica.com/sp-connect-reservoir-mount-bmw-motorcycle-smart-phone.html Link to comment

The RAM-B-345U or RAM-B-346U are the only two I know of that are intended to be mounted on a reservoir, but they both specifically say they will NOT work on a 2016 RT. I think that may also exclude other Wetheads. Check the Resources tab on the links for diagrams showing hole spacing. The RAM-B-309-1U might work. Link to comment
Limecreek
I've used the GS mirror mounts on my last 3 BMWs. I mounted two of them on my 2016RS and now have them on my 2022 RT. It is called a pipe clamp part number 32728532971. https://shop.maxbmw.com/fiche/DiagramsMain.aspx?vid=58550&rnd=09082020 Link to comment
strataj
The above mirror mount is very nice I have that on my 22R1250RT, on my 14R1200RT I went with a very low cost ram mount https://rammount.com/products/ram-b-309-1u 1 Link to comment
Rex R
Thanks guys. I actually have the GS mirror mounts, but that space is being reserved for... mirrors. The factory wethead mirrors are pretty good, but I want an even better view to the rear and blind spots. Unfortunately, there seems to be fewer options for mounting gps, phones etc with RAM balls than on many other models. If anyone else can offer more options/alternatives, please continue to chime in Link to comment

Steve Do you know the BMW part # that these replace? I'm looking for a RAM mount ball for this location and cannot find it in the parts fiche. Looks like it should be broken out in here (32_2292): Anyone know the correct parts diagram #? Link to comment

It's the bolt that's left of the #8 holding the handlebars in place. You remove the bolts and replace them, easy to do. Steve Link to comment
