Started getting these this morning. Don’t know why I’m getting these. Would like to stop getting these.

We've had a wave of over 20 new member registrations .... spammers ... just today starting early this morning ... with the same airline/flight posts. 

 

We have caught most of them so far, but to stop it completely ... although temporarily ... we've shut down new registrations for a while.

 

Although our forum software normally does a pretty good job of catching spammers durning the registration process, this is a new batch that hasn't yet been identified.  However, as we catch them, they will eventually be put on a "spammer list"  .

It was quite a run this morning, felt bad for the admin to have to deal with it.

It definitely was entertaining ... not .... 

 

Registration is now re-opened but we have taken a few additional measures in an attempt to catch these spam posts .  But nothing is perfect and some may still slip through ... so members should let any staff or just "report" the post for any that we miss.

It was a joint effort this morning with Mitch and Mike handling things as needed.

An update ... of 34 new member registrations today ...

 

30 were "airline" spammers .....

 

 

but we have disabled all of them
