BrianT
My really old ones are lost forever on a laptop that died. This is all I could find of riders. Most of my pics lately are just scenery. Me and Arizona Al on UT-12. This is how I like to remember him and hope this is how he's spending his time on the other side. Philly Flash and his date at the Fish Lake marina. For the life of me I can't think of her name. Me and Jerry AKA "The Beav" on UT-24 between Capital Reef and Hanksville. What was left of Richard's K bike after he tried to pick up a hitchhiking deer. Whip at the Burr Trail overlook. Whip and Chris at Mt Gleno Summit I think. Wurty smoking what he would call a "smelly ceegar" in front of the Chuckwagon general store. 5 Link to comment

Some more pics from that 2003 spring trip: Gotta click on this one to use your whole screen: Just when I was thinking it might be nice to bring our bikes into the room... Brinks was still a thing back then: Way back when, it was almost exclusively RTs: There are some lovely vistas in the Smokies, but it's hard to beat southern Utah for getting an inkling of how truly huge the earth is: I remember a pretty epic ride down to Bryce Canyon: I found out how fast my RT could really go on the way back to Torrey that day. The woman in the photo was a passenger on her companion's bike (the bald fellow to her left), and at one point she reached over and took a photo of his speedometer reading somewhere around 125. I used to have that pic, but I can't find it anymore. If it matters, they were behind me (and you) at the time. A bunch of good lookin' bikes lined up and waiting: Pics from Spring 2004 to come tomorrow. 4 Link to comment

It helps me to remember exactly how much fun that trip really was. :) Spring '04 was pretty good too. Shoot, just getting to Torrey was a ball. Here's the top of Loveland Pass, getting ready to continue westward: Chillin' after dark in Durango, with Eebie and Rainy: We took the ferry across Lake Powell: I remember traversing a mile of deep sand after we got off at the northern landing. "when in doubt, gas it out" seemed to work pretty well, but it was damn close for me, and I recall Rainy torqued her ankle pretty good when she took a dive. These bikes are all "vintage" now: I see @Limecreek next to me, and Eebie in the blue sweatshirt, but who are the other two guys? I recognize the face on the far right, but names have long since fallen out of my brain: I took a speed run with a west-coast crew up Sweeper Madness and Huntington Canyon. Posing at a gas station in Huntington: I see Sean Daly and his wife, Mike Przblyk (sure I mangled that name), Howard (@PhillyFlash), @russell_bynum and Lisa, and ArizonaAl on the far right. Can't recall the guy behind mike, or the guy behind Al. And for some reason I picked that exact moment to blink. Someone left early: Don't know who's on the bike, and some of other faces are unfamiliar. But I see Marty, Gleno, Russel, Jamie, Al, and Lisa in the mix. My recollection is that Gleno was recovering from a track crash that came on the heels of his world famous wheelie crash next to Arizona Al, so he spent the day prepping food for everyone. Swear to god, that was the best beef I've ever had anywhere. 5 Link to comment

In the first picture I think that is Steve Asvitt (MontanaHoon) behind Al. Pretty sure because of the K1200LT parked at the gas pump. Spring Torrey 2004 was the only event I ever saw him at. But we rode together from Pocatello, ID to Torrey. Was that Steve Carr (AdventurePoser) in the other picture? Seems to me he stopped by (from Glendale) for about an hour. And Brian T? Limecreek
Next to me is Steve McKinley and the other guy is Eric Ruland. That is Steve's Futura in the foreground. Steve stopped riding 2 years ago. Eric stopped riding a decade ago and I lost track of him. Link to comment

roadscholar
In the last pic the tall guy is Stretchmark and likely Hoontang with her back to the camera, I ran into them by chance in Blanding and we rode in together. It was the first time I’d seen southern Utah from the seat of a motorcycle, man was that an eye opener, landscape sensory overload. Link to comment

roadscholar
"Whip takes a nap", a common theme it seems : ) Spring '07, Torrey XIII (I had to break into someone's smugmug acct) It was a happy/sad occasion with a big turnout. Mark and Christine. The diminutive adventuress (Jacqueline) was on her way from Fla to Alaska and met new friends Tom and Kaneman. and Doc47 and this guy, fastest gun in the West. okay it's debatable. Richard and Tom surveying hill steepness and me reiterating dirt techniques we went over before she left the sandbox (actually I think someone was just fixing her bike : ) and naturally fell in with the motley crew (I actually took this one) but that was just one story, there were many.. more napping. then Richard and Larry performed daredevil stunts in the parking lot.... nah, just napping : ) 3 Link to comment
