A week before the Unrally I rode up to P.A. to ride some of my old favorite roads and visit some kin. While there, I decided to take a jaunt to South eastern Ohio, Peoli, to visit the graves of my grandparents and relatives. It is a small graveyard in the middle of nowhere. To my surprise it was well taken care of and the small church with no congregation was also very well maintained. After looking into it, I found out that Cy Young’s estate pays for all the upkeep. When Cy retired, he bought the farm beside my grandparents. Dad told me that Cy had the first indoor plumbing in the area. As a kid I asked dad if he ever played catch with him. He replied no, they were always to busy working the farm. If my dad had Cy autograph a few balls for him and held onto them, I could just imagine what they’d be worth today
