grw
I was reading through the accessory catalog on the Bob's BMW website and saw that the BMW charger is able to charge the R12RT battery by following a protocol that involves leaving the ignition on, connecting/powering the charger, and then turning off the ignition. Questions: Why does this work with the BMW charger and not with other chargers? Has anyone installed the Powerlet bypass harness to wire their R12 sockets directly to the battery? TIA Link to comment
Ken H.
Why does this work with the BMW charger and not with other chargers?Actually one probably will. As long as the bike's controller sees a current at the socket it's suppose to keep it open. Has anyone installed the Powerlet bypass harness to wire their R12 sockets directly to the battery? Didn't use any special harness, but changing the socket to directly connected was one of the earlier mods I did. Link to comment
