RichEdwards
Originally I'm from Long Island, so it was nice to see your day on Shelter Island. I've done it many times--on a bicycle. Lots of good lunch places in Greenport, one of the two ferry launch spots to Shelter Island. Link to comment

Richard_D
I'm also from Long Island. My father used to own an apartment building in Greenport. Thanks for the pictures. Link to comment
Doppelganger
I spent my summers on Nassau Point (Little Hog Neck) closer to Cutchogue. I remember when the Pindar Vineyards opened. It started a whole new industry formerly reserved for potatoes, corn, cauliflower, etc. We spent time in Greenport as well, always stopping in PRESTON'S Nautical Supply to drool on the model sailboats the sold there. Thanks for the memory revival. Link to comment

MattS
Eff, your stories are always good, even if they are sometimes frighteningly reminiscent of a Bruce Weber day out with the boys. I've heard that year-round residents have access to bridges and tunnels now, facilities that are well-guarded and off-limits to the tourist class. Link to comment
