Hosstage
Yes, because the way to stop crime is to ban the transportation choice and punish legal owners that rely on them for survival, not stop the criminals. It is touted as being a necessary "sacrifice" by the up to 20% of the population that rides them. I'm sure the rightful and legal owners feel the same. What happens when the criminals switch to other means of transportation to commit crime (which they already do), ban cars, SUVs, bicycles? Turns out they know which groups are mainly to blame, but will punish everybody for the bad deeds of a few. This is on top of the previous ban to ride between 8pm and 6am with the order to shoot to kill anyone riding then. Seems reasonable. To be fair, I'm not sure I would want to be a criminal caught by the Nigerian authorities, methinks the punishment may be quite harsh compared to many other countries. Link to comment
