Highway pegs for GS

Hello all. My 09 Gs needs a set of highway pegs. I considered the Adventure Design pegs. Pricey and after a 2 mo. wait without delivery just canceled my order. I know that a lot of pegs that mount on crash bars are available , but my question revolves around the concern of valve cover damage from collapsing peg if bike is dropped. Any thoughts on a good peg that will limit the probability of engine damage ?
