2034 is going to be a big year in sales of combustion vehicles.

People will become very crafty at fixing old motorcycles in the future. (i.e. Cuba with old cars) Then again, maybe the electric or alternative fueled vehicles will have a break through that might allow everyone to own one.

Synthetic fuel will work........ already used in F1 and starting in Motogp, with no carbon emissions.

Battery technology is on the edge of some really impressive breakthroughs.  Google graphene aluminum ion battery.  The Ford CEO recently stated that major battery technology improvements will soon eclipse present day technology (lithium ion battery) and bring down the cost of all electric vehicles which will result in price wars in the industry.  These new graphene aluminum ion batteries can charge 60 to 70 times faster than the heavy lithium ion batteries in use today.  They also will weigh much less and be capable of 400 to even 500 mile range before charging and they don't need an elaborate cooling/heating system.  They are also completely recyclable unlike today's lithium ion bats and aluminum is far more abundant on our planet than is lithium.  There is an Australian company (Graphene Manufacturing Group) that is building a manufacturing facility to produce graphene which will go on line in 2024.  Long and short is big things are on the near horizon where electric vehicles are concerned and I can't wait.  Oh, and aluminum batteries are safe as they don't combust like these lithium ion 1000 pound wonders do.
