Greetings John, I live south of where homes were destroyed. Harkers Island. It's not surprising it happened in that area. They built the houses so close to the high-water line that it is only a matter of time. It has been blowin where I live since last weekend. Constant 40 gusting up to 65. Supposed to start calming down tomorrow Real high tides here with minor erosion, but no real worries. That starts at the end of the month when hurricane season kicks in. Linda and I are looking forward to seeing you and Ruth at the Un.

Mother Nature claims a house or two every year in that location.If you check out Altitude 12 on facebook he has good videos that show the houses sitting almost in the water with the waves lapping away at them.Mother Nature can get very nasty out there!
