Skywagon
I got a new laptop and downloaded Basecamp. Every time I plan a route the default comes up as hiking. Does anyone remember how to change the default to motorcycle? Thanks in advance. Still hunting on my own too. Basecamp got to love it....not. Never mind....I found it. 2 Link to comment
Rinkydink
I bailed on Basecamp. I guess I’m just a dumb old computer illiterate. Good luck. 1 1 Link to comment

lkraus
Before modifying a profile, make sure that all of your important routes using that profile have a matching track (Right click>CreateTrack from Selected Route). If/when the modification recalculates the route, you will be able to see the original track and decide if the modified route is acceptable. 1 Link to comment
MachineJoe
I'm glad that I cut my hair short before trying to work the most basic of operations in Basecamp. I downloaded @Bernie unrally route on my PC then dbl clicked to import it to BaseCamp. then highlighted "2022 Canaan Valley Rtes 1 Bernie" after that I plugged my Nav6 into the puter after that I hit "send to" and Nav6 came up and clicked OK for 5 seconds it shows the "calculating route" pane but then freezes at this point. I've read everything I could from New England Riders and this forum. This is just basic stuff ......... right ???? Link to comment
RT_Jim
Joe - Make sure you turned off all 'avoidances' - that can cause lots of recalculations on Bernie's routes. Jim Link to comment
Bernie
Also make sure you have the newest map data from Garmin. Be patient it’s a slow process. Link to comment
