Cap
I bought this 2019 R1250RT late last summer with about 7000 miles on it. I rode it home from Chicago to Colorado, and then immediately dropped the final drive to inspect the driveshaft and splines. It was rusted solid on both ends of the driveshaft. After some fussing, the local dealership agreed it was a warranty repair. So, they had it for over a month, and returned it to me late in September -- just in time for a quick ride before I put it away for the winter, now with about 11k miles. I just completed the 12K service. Both cams were out of synchronization. All the valves were in spec, but I adjusted one exhaust valve on each cylinder very slightly to bring them closer to my desired gap. While doing the valve adjustment, I was really struck that the low RPM intake cams have a VERY small lift. The high RPM cams look very similar to the 1200 wethead. While it was sitting undressed on my lift all winter, I asked my local moto painter to touch it up a bit. 12 Link to comment
MichiganBob
Great paint job. Reminds me of their anniversary model. Link to comment
