wbw6cos
Back in December, I bought a Klim Lattitude jacket, finally upgrading my tired ole Joe Rocket. I bought it at the dealer and it was the last one on the rack. Supply chain issues, right? Anyhoo, the apparel specialist explained about the sleeve I.D. pocket and advised me to go online to register with Klim to receive an in-case-of-emergency card with contact info, medical, etc. I did that. It took a while, but it fianlly showed up the other day. Yeah, I had fogotten about it. I put the card in the pocket and wondered about how well known this was. I know there are a lot of medical/first responder types on this forum that would know about checking that pocket, so I ask: do other folks in responding to (heaven forbid) a biker down incident know about looking in that pocket? I know the little star symbol indicates medical, right? Do any of you other forum members use this feature? Any of you police/fire/medical professionals with fellow co-workers, who do not ride motorbikes, know about checking that pocket on the left sleeve? Are there other gear manufacturers that do something similar? I guess it would be beneficial if a fellow rider attending a BMWST gathering had some sort of medical issue and that card can be used to inform the S/O, which is nice. Thanks! 1 Link to comment
TEWKS
Great idea. I’m not sure all ems agencies are trained to look for zipped in patient info. I don’t remember being trained to look, anyway. A medical incident, unconscious person, sure you quickly look for a medical bracelet. Airway, breathing circulation is obviously first priority. Now an accident, treat life threatening injuries first. Unconscious victim, go back to ABC’s, C-Spine Stabilization and obviously stopping bleeding simultaneously or as quickly as possible. Saying that, having available patient info is very important for ems hospital transfer. I will now keep this in mind if and when. Thanks! 1 Link to comment

Groanup
Actually, I use mine to hold my spare key. I have a "Road ID" bracelet for medical/contact info. 1 Link to comment
Lemans
I registered but received nothing from KLIM. My emergency contact is printed on a card in my wallet. 1 Link to comment
