Shorty antenna for R1250RT?

Just a comparison but Stubby makes one for the RT and it’s available on Amazon. I have one and it’s not great for reception but I don’t listen to the radio anyway.

If reception is irrelevant, the shorty looks better, allows a cover to go on much easier, and is not a very expensive farkle.

Just FYI....every once in a while I forget to put my antenna on.  It seems to work just fine without it.

I went over to Auto Zone and bought mine for a 2016 RT.  It came with several adaptors.

I got a Stubby for my GTL when I owned that.  I never listened to the radio, the stubby made it easier to put the cover on at night while traveling.
