Listening to radio on RT's with TFT without using BT or speakers?

Is there, or has anyone figured out how to listen to radio on the RT 1250's that have the TFT without using the speakers or BT head phones/buds?

I have a couple of really, really nice studio monitors that are wired with a 3.5mm plug. I would like to plug them in, or at the very least use them for music listening when my new 22 arrives and I can get the radio installed. I have been using them on various bikes for the last ten years or so. But never with an integrated radio. Usually a stand alone satellite set up or iPod.

If I have to do the same, or invest in good BT earbuds (albeit expensive) so be it. But I thought maybe there are others like me and way smarter with electronics.

There is no way to do that out of the box. You need to splice a jack each side to be able to route output to your speakers as an aftermarket solution.

I don't know how to do it on a 2022 RT, but on the 2018 RT, I installed a speaker bridge by MotoChello. It splices into the speaker wires of the factory stereo unit. It is straight forward and came with simple directions.

This unit lets you use either a 3.5mm outlet or the speakers by sliding a switch on the box.

Looking for ways to do it  (how). I am not electronic savy

Take it to an electronics or auto electrical specialist. They will have the tools and the knowledge to do it.

I think the Motochello speaker bridge is as close to a plug-n-play solution as you can get.  Very good info on their website with links to videos here: https://www.motochello.com/shop/bike-audio-speaker-bridge/?doing_wp_cron=1635639037.3347520828247070312500

Yeah, but the OP can't/won't dabble in wiring which is what that bridge requires too.

I never said I won’t. I did say I did not have the knowledge but I can learn,  hence asking the questions. It then gives me a starting point to learn.

Yes of course, but you can take the device to a professional installer and have him attach the 6 wires with the provided twist on connectors to install it, as long as the person is not color blind.

I'm still waiting for my radio on my 2021 RT.  Last time I checked, was going to be a couple more months before they become available for my bike.  Please let me know if someone here knows when I'm going to be able to order one.

Thanks,

Alex

I think the radios are availabe now.  I just got my 2022 and they ordered the radio as it only came with the radio prep kit installed.  The parts guy said the radio has come in and I am waiting to get it installed at the 600 mile service.  Fingers crossed.

Thanks to all

I ordered the Motocello.

My bike is scheduled for production next week. I wonder if, since the radios are becoming available if they will install it on the bike during production

Do you know if the Radio's are Sirius XM Radio's?

It should include Audio Software for AM/FM, SiriusXM, and USB input to be able to play through speakers or Bluetooth.

What makes you think that? The USB part I mean. The '21 bikes do not have facilities to play back from storage only media such as USB, must be done through a BT connection.

Surely all that is needed is a simple Bluetooth receiver with a 3.5mm jack. Like this.  You pair the receiver with the TFT in exactly the same way as you would a BT headset.

The more you pay for the BT receiver the better quality reception you should get. The really cheap ones can crackle a bit.
