erikreynolds
Hey Folks, I'm overhauling a 2004 1150RT that I just bought that sat for years and years in a garage. Replacing the brake lines with Spieglers and bleeding so I can see if I'll need to do a servo-ectomy or not. I'm a bit confused on the rear caliper. The BMW Parts Fiche shows Part# 34 21 2 330 309 (picture attached) for the little spring clip. The fiche shows TWO different clips, but the BMW Official Manual only shows one. I ordered that part number and received both clips. I'm stumped as to what the second clip is for or if I need it (and if so.... where does it go lol). Thanks for your guidance! -Erik Link to comment
dirtrider
Afternoon erikreynolds Easy way is just to replace what you have in the caliper now with new parts that match. See picture for location & NOTE, the little arrow direction on the anti-rattle clip. Link to comment
erikreynolds
Awesome thanks!!! My caliper is missing that pad guide -- so your pictures were hugely helpful! Link to comment
