BMT
If this doesn't belong here, please move it ... Two Paris Police RTs -- one K, one R -- providing escort service to a politician through Paris: http://www.dailymotion.com/search/police/video/45475 This could have come straight out of a Pink Panther film. Shot from the following car, there is some commentary from the car's occupants, but you don't need French to get the gist of it! As the car turns right to follow, at the beginning: "Oh! We start in the prohibited direction!" Against the flow in a one-way. Link to comment
marcopolo
Great video. I could use an escort like that. Think those riders were enjoying their jobs? Link to comment
Francois_Dumas
C'est formidable !!! I noticed one of the guys almost fell off at one point And I wonder how he does the waving woth his right hand? If I do that (let go of my throttle) I am with my teeth in my windscreen !!! Link to comment
BMT
And I wonder how he does the waving woth his right hand? If I do that (let go of my throttle) I am with my teeth in my windscreen !!! Perhaps you should try the flamboyant arm gestures, maybe that's the secret! I'm sure at one point he has both hands off the bars. If nothing else, it's assertive riding! I've bookmarked it -- I could watch it over and over. Link to comment
Rags
Now that's the way to navigate Paris...... BTW, they ended up at the central police station. A police bigwig getting the VIP treatment. Link to comment
Firefight911
I didn't time it but I think it is safe to say that they took longer than thee driver in the movie Rendezvous! Pull to the right, please. Stop right there, please. Sacre Bleu!!! Cato, where are you, Cato? Fun! Link to comment
DogGone
It was great that they were ignored by almost everyone, pedestrians, bicyclists, busses, smart cars pete Link to comment
leikam
If I do that (let go of my throttle) I am with my teeth in my windscreen! Upshift 2 gears and try it again Francois. And while you're at it, stand up on the pegs and direct traffic with your white gloves. Link to comment
drharveys
Wouldn't it have been faster to just drive on the sidewalk like everyone else in Paris? Link to comment

The 'flamboyant' waves will be the hardest part Link to comment

Most UK, & I am sure European market, Police BM's have a friction screw on the throttle - as the old airheads used to be kitted out before some lawyer saw a problem with it Link to comment
R4ND0M_AX3
I like the reflective stripes down the arms. Wait... Weren't we talking about stripes in a different thread? Link to comment
Peter W
I gotta say, the guy on the K was good. Couldn't see the guy on the R much. Despite all else, it was cool seeing so much of a city I have not ever seen. Thanks for the link. Peter Link to comment
