Shocks and Drive Shaft WetHead R1200RT 2018

A few pictures taken during the process of replacing both shocks and the drive shaft on my 2018 BMW R1200RT-LC Alpinweiss.

I replaced the shocks with a set from TracAtive from Ted's Bemmer Shop. The drive shaft was replaced due to the mileage - 97,000 miles.

The front spline of the drive shaft was rusted to the transmission output shaft. The rubber boots where both in like new condition. The bike has never seen any flooding , water crossings or has been pressure washed by me.

I too accomplished the TracTive replacement of both shocks.  My objective was to lower the bike which also required shortening the kickstand and center stand.  Lots of fun disassembling and reassembling the bike.
