ferdiii
1235/5000 Good afternoon everyone: Doing cleaning in the storage room, I have found a piece of reflective red tape and it occurred to me that it could be useful by placing it inside the suitcase. So, with the help of a ruler, scissors and a cutter, I have made an adhesive damage triangle and placed it inside the trunk. The idea is that, if you stay lying down at night, you have the option of opening the rear suitcase and thus, marking your position, without having to carry the cumbersome triangle of damage. In addition, as it is basically a tape, it neither weighs nor occupies a place in the suitcase. To finish the triangle, I have placed a piece of transparent tape over it to protect it from possible scratches, since it is a bit delicate. Motorhead1977
Nice addition. I also like the reflective sections either side of the top box handle since they appear dark when not exposed to a bright light. How did you do that? TIA Link to comment
szurszewski
That looks like 3M retroreflective film - it works really well, is not garish in daylight, and can even be found in kits to cover the rear facing features of many bikes. In fact, one of our members makes kits for a lot of BMWs: https://motoreflective.com/ Link to comment

ferdiii
Another thing I've been doing at home during covid 19 has been to make protections for suitcases and tank with transparent vinyl. The results have been more than satisfactory. Vinyl is invisible to the eye. In my opinion, the tank paint does not transmit quality. It's easy to mark it with your jacket or pants. In my case, instead of buying the ready-made protections, what I did was to take some templates with carousel tape and cardboard from the exposed parts of the tank and then change them and trim them into a quality vinyl of aliexpress. Test with different types of material until I find this:https://es.aliexpress.com/item/32828860271.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.457063c0xIv6PU And with a soapy water spray and a credit card, they were very well placed in the tank. I play, I did the same thing with the bags and I'll be totally invisible. He's got his job but he's entertaining and worth it 2 Link to comment
