This is maybe a new event for this group, but it is something I done since 2001. My local club (BMW-NEF) had a member (Alan S.) that organized this annual event to show off the great riding weather we have in NE Florida to his northern friends. Since Alan stopped organizing this event years ago, I continued it making my own New Years Day Rides and lunch and used to invite some local riding friends to go along, if they wanted to.
So last December I decided to have lunch in Baxley, GA and send a short message out to some of the guys and a few showed up to have lunch with me on New Years Day of 2023.
So, I decided to just throw it out there, for any one that wants to go ride on New Years Day 2024 and are close enough to Baxley, GA to meet me and anyone else that shows up for lunch at 11:30 AM on 1/1/2024 at Tequilas Mexican Restaurant for lunch, weather permitting of course. Maybe we start a new tradition, what better way to start the New Year then to do something we all love, go for a ride and have lunch.
