Hoping to be able to join everyone this year. Work won’t be a problem, but getting my college classes to empathize with my motorcycle priority is always fun & exciting. More as it develops, I guess.

Just explain that it's an onsite finance "lab" class researching the economic impact of motorcyclists to small communities in Appalachia.

I spent the week in Franklin, NC and it made me want nothing more but to get back out there and ride. MAN, January is tough!

Ah! Looks like MeadowBrook @ Blowing Rock?! Hooray!

Threads locked...?

Am I missing the "official announcement" thread?

Your can make your accommodations at the link in the locked thread. An official flashy-splashy announcement is still being finalized by our marketing partners, headquartered in NYC. They don't come back to 'work' until next week. Then we will have focus groups review the campaign, then a new revised marketing campaign announcement will be created, and more focus groups, etc.Once the higher ups have given approval, the Official © announcement will be released and that's where event responses will go.

We don't generally utilize the comment section here under events. Having said that, board management has recently tested a new format for board-wide events that will link the calendar to each specific event, to avoid the inherent confusion created by the event calendar's isolation in relation to the rest of the board's format and procedures.

Sorry for the confusion

This is because our software has the calendar/event section isolated and sectioned off by itself, apart and distinct from the main forums here at BMWSportTouring. So what can happens is that when the response section here is populated, it's off alone and orphaned. It can't be featured or included in our (non-calendar) 'events' area of the main board. This has always been a shortcoming of the software that's been a concern to our management team, but it had to take its place inline behind more pressing board issues that need addressed.

As I mentioned, we have just completed, designed and tested a format to link these two areas on our test board, and this will allow the calendar to integrate into events and avoid confusion and the comment isolation created by comments left here.

I eagerly await the official press release :18:

I am hoping there will be refreshments at the kick off festival.
