Motomarathon

A friend sent this to me.  Four days of twisties riding, with the route posted the night before and self-recorded checkpoints.  Has anyone participated and do you have a point of view on this?

Why not?  Especially if you stay at one place and go out each day on a different route and return the the same place every evening.  Easy.

I went one time to one in N.Y never did another one again. Depends on if they stay at same hotel every night or they may go to a different hotel each night. The next route is not distributed to after dinner and it is not a GPS route. You need to go back to your room and figure out how to get there and find the locations. Take a photo of the location with your assigned number and submit for points. My issue was the N.Y had us stop at the prison where there was a break out, had a guard yelling at us from tower then a truck roared down asking why we were taking photos. Next stop was to take a photo at the US/Canada border, again not a bright idea.

 

You will need to determine if they stay at the same location each night or ride to the next hotel each day. That adds time for packing and unpacking . A friend did a bunch as he was trying to get the most 'points' but finally stopped.

It would have been easier for you to deploy a drone to get some good photos of the prison.
