Absolutely not!

Seems like a futile gesture. They will soon learn that honest law abiding riders will just obey but the law breakers will quickly figure out ways to  deactivate, spoof the output, trade devices, or find other ways to use these things to their advantage.  

 

Seems like spoofing the GPS position output then putting that spoofed output on drones could make the police chase their own tails. (be fun to watch though)

 

I guess the up side is it should open up the job market for the electronic savvy.
