St0nkingByte
Easy question for those of you with the service manual, I don't have one yet, too cheap to buy the real one, too honest to get that $15 special version from the UK What is the proper torque for the four torx bolts that hold the handlebars on? I tried reverse engineering with my torque wrench and they clocked in around 8-9 ft lbs but that seems a little low. Link to comment

Thanks. 14 ft lb! All mine were relatively loose then. Hrm I wonder how hard it would be to start a R1200RT handlebars fall off rumor... Link to comment
Mark_C
I'm guessing, but handlebars is probably something the dealer attaches during the pre-delivery check. My RT had 800 miles on the clock when I got it and had just had its first service and I found one or two loose items. I think it is very unlikely that anything fitted at the factory would be loose but, I am sorry to say, not at all unlikely that a PDC would be done wrongly. Link to comment
