Wondering if Canada will be open by June? Buddy and I are riding to Great Falls and thinking about continuing up to Banff and Jasper.

I doubt the border will be open by June.  Most provinces won't have even begun vaccinating the majority of their populations by then.

That's what I was afraid of. May have to just stay in the states then. Always wanted to see Mt. St. Helens, so hopefully we can get down that way and do a Pacific Coast trip instead.

It wouldn't hurt anything to make some reservations in BC, just in case.  It really is a breathtaking ride. 

 

From G.F., there are myriad options to head west.  Western Montana and Northern Idaho are beautiful (my old stompin' grounds).  In Washington, State Highway 20 is a fun route.  Okanogan, on the East end, has a great breakfast/lunch place at Smallwood Farms.  They actually remembered me from my previous visit one year earlier.  Great people, great food, great setting.  Cross your fingers to get a glimpse of Rainier, too, if you're going toward St. Helens.
