TEDZ
Time for new shocks on my ESA equipped 2012 R1200RT. If I go non ESA Wilbers or Hyper Pro shocks, will I be seeing a failure display on my Instrument Cluster? Link to comment
lkraus
No. Diagnostic tests like GS-911, Motoscan, etc. will show a code when they cannot read the expected ESA sensors, but there is no indication on the dash. Link to comment
TEDZ
Thanks, my rear shock has leaked some oil, so its time to change it out. Link to comment
GordonB
Check with Ted Porter, he will outfit your ESA shock motors to new shocks. Keep the ESA. Link to comment
MikeB60
I've ditched the ESA on two RTs and my 1600. Ted set up Wilbers on one of the RTs and the 1600. Both were perfect. Without the ESA you have the ability to set the sag. Takes about a minute to adjust preload when riding two up. I can live without ESA. Link to comment
