Trobinson
As I mentioned awhile back I've replaced the '96 R1100RT with a 2012 FJR1300. Today I started the dismantling process. Fairings are removed, final drive and gearbox drained, and various other parts removed. The main fairings are trash as their condition is poor. I'll be removing the FD and gearbox later, probably tomorrow. Have to dispose of some oil before I drain the engine. So far not too much of a pain. Link to comment
Miguel!
If the spring clips in the mirrors are in good shape, I’d love to get the mirrors. Please pm me. Thx. Miguel Link to comment

FeeJer is much smoother and controllable. Link to comment

And just think if that FJR ever needs a new clutch how easy it will be and inexpensive to do the job. You don't even have to remove any body panels nor do you have to fear if you slip the clutch a bit when riding, won't hurt a thing. Here's a trick...If you want to avoid the CLUNK when you shift from neutral into first when starting out just pull in the clutch then blip the throttle to get about 2-3K revs and shift into first right after she drops back to idle. All you hear is a slight snick, no CLUNK. Link to comment

Trobinson
So, I'm close to removing everything I planned on (gearbox and driveshaft to go, perhaps the engine) and have a question. Would it be worth removing the forks? Link to comment
