K1200GT noises

Just bought 2008 k1200gt 36000 mi. Has chattering when in neutral with clutch lever out. Seems like might have a bit to much driveline noise on deceleration. Any input would be appreciated

It sounds like neutral gear rattle but not enough base info to tell you much as we can't hear it, or ride it, or listen as the clutch is disengaged/re-engaged in neutral.

 

Does it sound quieter with a cold engine than with a warm engine?  

 

Does the rattle go away when you raise the engine RPM's slightly??

cam chain warranty work done?

The cam chain tensioner works off oil pressure. The chain will slack and make noise for a few seconds when the engine is first started. Item #16 in this is part of a recall BMW did. Call your local dealer's service department with your VIN and ask if there are any outstanding recalls.
