Boxflyer
This looks like a typical scene at a road works repair site in Ireland… 1 guy working (kinda) and all the others standing around leaning on their shovels. HaHa! I wish I could have been there to help. When I come to this years START, I'll be bringing my bike lift so I don't have to crawl around on the ground. I'm also bringing 2 pop-up tents, a couple of tables and light stands to work into the dark if needed. Since there have been several previous references to some nice sounding beverages and smokes…I'm bringing my own NAB (Non-Alcoholic Beer). Boxflyer 4 Link to comment

TEWKS
Mike, you know they’ll continue to make work forever. My plan is to truck it (no really truck it) down to Meadowview Va. on Monday and snooze at a truck stop there. Wake and drive the last hundred to Little Switzerland and unload the bike. I’ve got a nice 100 + mile day ride mapped out to find Douglas Falls on Tuesday and then on to MV Wednesday. edit Oops, map trick didn’t work. 5 Link to comment

I’ve got more compliments on the tires (than ever imagined). I was kind of surprised. 1 Link to comment
Hosstage
Funny, same thing happened with my truck, mostly a good running pos with brand new tires. More than one person said I just doubled the value of it! They are not far off. 2 Link to comment

Dennis Andress
Lost a couple of screws. The spoiler is staying home. It brought a minor improvement in air flow and an increase in wind noise. I wonder if there is a speed where those holes will whistle... 1 1 Link to comment

Can't you find one that's a little more curvy? NC 28 is one of the great motorcycle/sportscar roads anywhere, it begins in Walhalla, SC (for this purpose) and ends at Deal's Gap near the Tenn line. There are four distinct, different sections. Mountain Rest to Highlands (gains 2500 feet in elevation), Highlands to Franklin (back downhill with heavy traffic at times but sublime when clear, Buck Creek Rd is a very good alternative), Franklin to US74, and Stecoah to Deal's Gap along the lake. There are plenty of others in the area but none as long or varied as 28. 4 Link to comment
