West_Coaster
I have these aux lights on my bike and don't like them. They are not that bright, and I want them to stand out so im noticed. Don't care about them as a driving light. My buddy added some yellow colored lights with lens and wow he stands out without them blinding oncoming traffic. Anyone familiar with the lights below? Maybe I can change the bulb on these, they seem to have a halogen bulb in there? Next step is to take them apart and see whats inside, and what I can replace the bulb with. Link to comment
RandyShields
They look like Motolights. https://motolight.com/product-category/motolight-light-sets/ Link to comment
Damian
Randy is correct. They are motolights. They take MR16 bulbs up to 50 watts. You need this wrench https://motolight.com/product/spanner-wrench/ to take the bezel off and then just pull the bulb out. Link to comment
AZgman
You can replace the bulbs with MR16 LEDs from any LED shop. That will be the last time you need to open them. Link to comment
wbw6cos
Use finishing nails, lined up, through a board as a cheap spanner wrench. Just a thought Link to comment
AZgman
If they are not too stuck, a pair of needle nose pliers may also work to get the cover off. Link to comment
West_Coaster
Damn you guys are good. Thanks for the info, man those are some expensive lights, glad I didn't pay for them. Going to replace the bulbs with some amber LEDs, thanks for the superbright link. Link to comment
Bill_Walker
You can also get amber lenses for them from Motolights. Very conspicuous, based on what I've seen in my mirrors of folks who have them. Link to comment
