Good evening. New here. Just got back home with my brand new to me 1998 R1100rt. Just wanted to say hello! Haven’t owned a motorcycle since 2010 when I had a Suzuki gsx650f. Happy to finally have a bmw, wanted one since high school. Missing some plastic and a mirror, but I’m stilled thrilled.

Oh yeah, I’m sure that will come in handy.  Also, we have a guy here (dirtrider) that is so helpful in everything BMW!

I’ll see if I can get ahold of him. Gonna need some diagnostic help I think. No trouble that I could find on the 150 mile ride back home but I picked it up with 65k miles for 2 grand. Might get lucky but I doubt it. I’m sure I’ll have issues. And I wanna get ahead of the maintenance that quite possibly hasn’t/needs to be done at this point.
