So Smoaks got a R18 in

One of my favorite youtube presenters works at a combo dealer but mostly works the BMWs.

 

Took a R18 out for spin, put the link where the bike shows up but you can spin it back to front for the start which is mostly him and his wife.  If it starts at front the R18 is just after the two minute mark

Interesting how you have to pop off the right side cylinder cover to get to the oil fill. It's not a bike that the typical BMW rider will flock to and I'm guessing, the company already knew that. Very interesting that the open shaft drive made it into production. I'm 99.9% sure it could never happen (getting tangled up in it) but still surprised that thoughts of loosely clad passengers didn't keep the bean counters up at night.
