IowaBoy Posted August 22, 2020 Share Posted August 22, 2020 I recently picked up a 2009 K1300S which came with an installed tank mount (picture attached) for the BMW Navigator IV GPS. Does anyone know if they make mounts compatible with this base that would fit the new Garmin Zumo XT? Appreciate any help. Tim 2004 R1150RT / 2004 R1100S / 2009 K1300S Link to comment

IowaBoy Posted August 22, 2020 Author Share Posted August 22, 2020 wbw6cos - thanks for the note. So there is a small lever on the forward part of the mount that secures it to the base. I think you're idea is a good one and I can maybe find a compatible part for the new GPS or, find a way to attach a RAM mount on there instead. Thanks. Tim Link to comment
lkraus Posted August 22, 2020 Share Posted August 22, 2020 The four screws surrounding the electrical contacts are in a standard spacing known as the AMPS mounting pattern. You can remove the current four button mount and attach any other GPS mount that uses the same pattern, including the Garmin XT. Link to comment
