Iphone /GPS holder

Has anyone bought or used or have a GPS/Iphone holder that fits into the R1200RT GPS space ? 

I see them for sale but I'd like some real feedback if they are worth the price and if they do work.

I have a friend who got one for the GPS mount on his F750GS.  As I recall, he said prices on them on EBay were all over the place, and he had no idea if it was any indication of quality.  I think he picked a mid-price one, but he's been happy with it.  That being said, it's been a while since I last saw it, but I don't think it would fit in the space on the R1200RT.  In particular, there's a micro-USB port on the end that takes a short cable that plugs into your phone for power, so you have to have access to the ends (or sides, depending on how you want to look at it) of the device.  The dashboard plastics on the RT might interfere with that.
