Skywagon
Saw him in Austin a few years ago. He put on quite a show. Probably in a fiddle contest with the devil down in Ga 3 Link to comment

Paul De
RIP Charley Daniels, you marked a part of my life I will never forget! Saw him in Milwaukee 1974, where he recorded the second album of a two album set at the acoustically best hall in Milwaukee at the time (PAC). It was mesmerizing as the sound engineering was flawless. The best part was when he played in the encore set Can't You See, one of my HS friends with a booming hoot for that song got onto the album. Mike P. was the man captured in perpetuity...and we celebrated that plenty as we wore that vinyl grove down to nothing before we all went off to claim our grown up lives. Link to comment
Bill_Walker
The man played a hell of a fiddle. Got to see him in concert once at Winterland in San Francisco back in the late 70s. My first exposure to him was "Uneasy Rider" from 1973, which I guess you'd call a novelty song. RIP Link to comment

Jake
His "24 Hours at a Time" guest playing with Marshall Tucker Band on the album "Where We All Belong" is one of my favorite works, ever. Link to comment
