Rinkydink
My grandmother had cottonwood trees in her back yard. I remember playing and choking on the “snow” when I started breathing heavy. Good times Link to comment
Ken S
We've had something similar in south-central Alaska recently. Link to comment
Hosstage
I've got two giant cottonwood trees in my backyard, 100s of years old. It takes three to four men holding hands to reach around the trunks. They are dirty trees, constantly dropping crap in the yard, and when the cotton releases, it is a mess, it really does look like snow, but it blocks air intakes, and coats the AC condenser, I have to hose it off every other day for a few weeks during cotton season. It gets in the car vents, gathers in the garage, sticks to the deck, house, grass, plants. The trees do provide a lot of shade, though. Link to comment
