Good Day All,

 

Does anyone know if a wireless Bluetooth system which has audio commands through the microphone can  control the BMW audio system;?

I have never heard of such a system. The BMW audio system is pretty poor with regards to interfacing with anything.

I can't even get the documented audio commands on my Sena 20S to work for music playing from my iPhone, when my iPhone is directly paired to the 20S (a setup I use on my Kawasaki).

I can’t either. I just shuffle the tunes and control the volume with my Sena 20s.

I am sure that if you can find the microphone input to the BMW audio system, someone clever on this forum could build such a device for you.
