Skywagon
I am having a bit of an issue with my left hand mirror. It's never been hit, never fallen over, or any damage. Due to tight parking in the garage I fold in the mirrors on the bike. Recently the left mirror won't stay folded it pops right back to riding position. I took the cover off and see it has a spring and bolt that could be tightened. I tightened it a bit but no change in results. Any suggestions? Link to comment
Dann
I think it's made to fold back in position and not stay folded. Link to comment
Skywagon
After some more fiddling around with it I figured it out. Instead of tightening the nut over the spring...loosening it solved the problem. I guess it tightened up after many times of folding it in. Dann...not sure but on all my BMW bikes when I fold them in they stay put. This one did too until recently. Now it does again. Link to comment
Dann
Maybe I should try on mine and see what it does Link to comment
alexp
Yes is designed to fold in in case you hit something. I end up in adding a small steel cable to the mirror in case it falls off, it will stays with the bike. Link to comment
