Penrod
Upon braking I hear the brake servos work and I expect that. But when I'm on a hill or otherwise need to hold the brake on, the servos continue to "whine" the whole time. I figure they should whine until they fully deploy then stop. Is it "TADT" to whine all the time the brake lever is depressed? Link to comment
Haynes
The servos will whine whenever there is a force applied to the lever or pedal. This occurs whether you are moving or stationary. It is completely normal. Link to comment
USAF1
I like telling folks that that noise is from the servo motors for the .50 cal "cage" guns............. Pat Link to comment
GlennW
It took years of R&D for BMW to get the servos to sound exactly like a dental drill. On the bright side, all the design engineers now have great teeth. Link to comment
Penrod
O.K., yet another "TADT" situation! Thanks once again for the replies, now I can enjoy the ride and not worry.... Link to comment
