roadscholar
Not to muddy the waters with too much information but think I'll just muddy the waters with too much information, it’s like horsepower right? I've only read the first page but found posts #2, 13, 15 (last paragraph), and 19 worth noting. The last line in post #2 was a little amusing that said, Beware G.A.S. (guitar acquisition syndrome : ) btw I have only five at the moment, the '65 J50, a 50's something Martin tenor I've had since a kid, a Martin Backpacker, Yamaha classical acoustic, and a Fender rip-off bass, although am on the lookout for a middling priced quality electric to replace the Gretsch (mistakenly said Epi before) and SG I lost. https://advrider.com/f/threads/beginner-intermediate-guitar-players.1315095/ Link to comment

Selden
Starting from the left, an Irish bodrum, a whole bunch of lap dulcimers, two mandolins, a ukelele, and in the far corner a Cümbüş mandolin. Also a hammer dulcimer, and on the floor 3 autoharps. Guitars and banjos are on the opposite wall, outside the picture. Two years ago, my wife won a Martin guitar at a raffle for Georgia Pick & Bow. She does not complain about my three motorcycles.... 2 1 Link to comment
roadscholar
I was thinking Dulcimer but don't recall ever seeing one, btw nice eclectic collection. Also, that is a worthy program to get young people started on string instruments, wish there was more of it. Now, does anyone have a Hurdy Gurdy or Didgeridoo they've been hiding : ) Link to comment

KTM Doug
Well, the jail I have been in has been costly. And my county in CA has barely opened anything. We are 30 miles away in the county from the hot spot, Oakland and Hayward. A small mountain range separates us. A couple miles East and the San Joaquin county is open with dining inside in some places. Funny, Dublin is right next to San Ramon. A street divides them. San Ramon is opening and Dublin not. San Ramon is in the next county north. Ugh. Three mayors in our valley have written a letter to county health agency to knock off the BS and get us opening. My town has only had about 50 cases. But I digress. It has cost me money. I have way too much time on my hands. So I went shopping online. Found what I had been wanting for sometime. Traveled to Danville, in another county. They were still closed but you could make appointments and store would bring goods outside for you to look at. A PRS 2020 McCarty “594” singlecut with a 10 top. Think I got a pretty good price on it. Hope I get busy soon as the store has another unit I would like. Traded in three of my other units to make this happen. 3 Link to comment

Bud
Check out Vince Gill's collection in this video A master player with a distinctive high alto voice. I never get tired of hearing him sing. He wrote this song after his brother died. 2 Link to comment
roadscholar
Two of my favorite genres are blues and jazz and sometimes the mixture thereof, this dude is, to borrow his term, a virtuoso of it. Joe B. or Stevie Ray he’s not, and one of the reasons I like him. 1 Link to comment
