2007 R1200RT LEFT REAR CASE HINGE??

MY LEFT REAR CASE HINGE HAS COME LOOSE? BOLTS ARE STILL THERE BUT WILL NOT TIGHTEN FROM THE OUT SIDE? HOW DO I GET TO THE NUTS(???) THE HINGLE IS LOOSE ON BOTH THE INNER CASE AND THE LID.

OK Help! I have found the problem and I need to remove the inside liner of the inside  caese, any Suggestion?

I've had mine apart on my '09 RT. There's a boat load of screws and some are different lengths. Don't mix up the screws as a longer screw put where it doesn't belong will poke a hole in the outside of your case. Either draw a diagram, or take a piece of cardboard and shove the screws in the same place for re-installing later. Careful of the retracting cover strap. Its spring loaded. Just unclip it from the cover, but DO NOT REMOVE OR UNSCREW the base. The coiled up spring will un-spring, and its a real pain to get it re-wound.

There are blind nuts that are embedded in hard plastic blocks.  Mine cracked apart and I had to come up with an alternate solution to fix them. if your lucky they are just loose in those plastic blocks and you  can super glue them or the blocks aren't turned into shrapnel. 

 

It's a bit finicky putting the cover back on there are a couple of things that can get out of alignment.
